Default What does this gossip girl quote mean?

On the television show "Gossip Girl," Chuck is drunk and leave nate a voice mail saying:

"Nate, the position of my esteem has been replaced by your voicemail."

What does that phrase mean?

Could one make a voicemail saying: "The position of your esteem has been replaced by my voicemail."

He is probably to drunk to realise what he is saying and wanted to talk to nate but hears his voicemail instead, leaving his esteem on a down low and just listning to his voicemail
