How can I try to convince my mom to let me get another pet, when its been 3 weeks...
...since we put down our cat? We recently put down our cat of 15 years. My mother and I were both terribly heart broken, and when the subject of getting another animal came up, my mother said "I'm sorry, but I don't want to feel like this ever again"
To me, I think it's needed to have another pet, because the house is so empty and there's this void that's left. And obviously no other pet will replace our older cat, but if we are capable of taking in another pet, I think we should. Granted, if it's been enough time for the both of us to get over our loss.
My boss knows someone who just had a litter of kittens. They are holding one for me for a little while, so I have time to bring it up to my mother. The kitten has to be with it's mother for another 4 weeks, and I plan on telling my mother about her in two weeks, so that way she has two weeks to mull it over. But I need some help about how to get my point across, and to help her understand that I am a pet person, and I'm home a lot and having a pet around would be really nice.
