im a 17 year old virgin and i want to start masturbating but i heard that if masturbating affects your sex life. like if you masturbate alot then it would be hard for you to get turned on by your partner when you start to have actual sex. it this true? becaus i dont wanna have any problems when i do my first time. how much masturbating is good for your health and does it hurt the first time?

No it's not true. TOO much masturbation can desensitize a little but masturbation is actually healthy on many levels. Plus it helps you learn your body and be comfortable with it....which is important for when you're ready to become sexually active.

masturbating does affect your sexual health in two ways. First, it allows you to "ride" your bike first, alone, so you get to know what you like or don't like. Second, it may make you want it more. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin, and honestly, there are some people who want to keep themselves for their future husband. You do not need to masturbate, and you do not need to give in to the pressure of having sex before you are ready. Hope this helps.
